Here is a list of the most populair feature requests! We'd like to thank you for all the valuable feedback and suggestions. They are all on our to-do list!
- Month widget: We're planning to introduce a month widget for on your home screen.
- In-App Notifications: DigiCal doesn't have its own notification system, so you're still required to use your stock calendar. We're planning to create our own notification system.
- Color Themes: We're working on different color themes for the widgets such as a white and dark theme.
- Task integration: This is probably the most requested feature. Unfortunately, it's also the most time consuming feature of all. We've been working on this feature, but you will need to have more patience with this one.
- Translation: We're setting up a translation system where our users can help us translate DigiCal into their own language. We're really happy to see that some users have offered their help. If you want to help us translate DigiCal into your own language, please send me an email, so I can contact you once the system goes live! digical@digibites.nl
- Time input method: We're aware that the current time and date picker is not intuitive or user-friendly.
- Event repetition options: We've realized that the current event repetition options are very limited and it cumbersome to use. We're working on a customizable option.
FAQ
Q: I don't get any reminder messages or notifications for my events!
A: DigiCal doesn't have its own notification system, so you'll still need to turn on your stock calendar for the notifications.
Q: Why is the widget not scrollable on Android 2?
A: Unfortunately there is no official way to create scrollable widgets on those devices, and workarounds often have compatibility issues. Our scrollable widgets are only available for Android 3.0+.
Q: The day list widget is missing!
A: The day list widget is only available for Android 3.0+.
Q: Why can't I get SMS notification?
A: Google has removed this SMS notification feature for Android. However, you can still receive SMS notification through the Google Calendar web interface.
Q: How can I change the day of the week?
A: Go to "preferences" and select "week numbering system". You can choose from ISO (EU, Monday), USA (and Israel, Sunday) and Arabic (Sunday).
Q: New appointments are getting forced reminders!

Q: How can I back up my calendar?
A: DigiCal can't back up your calendar. It only display the events from your Google Calendar, just like your stock calendar.

Q: How to setup calendars with color coding for work, social activities, sport, holiday etc..?
- You can categorize and color code your events by adding different Google Calendars using the Google Calendar website. The different calendars (social, work, private) will then be synchronized to your smartphone. DigiCal will then display the different calendars from Google Calendar.

- In DigiCal, you can go to the calendar menu (go to menu and select calendars) to get an overview of all the different calendars that are synchronized.
Q: Syncing of event colors
- DigiCal doesn't sync the event colors with Google Calendar. So whenever you change an event color or calendar color in DigiCal, it won't show up in your Google Calendar. Therefore it is recommended to change the event color of your calendars through the Google Calendar website.

Q: How can I show multiple calendars in DigiCal?
- You need to go to preferences, select calendars and tick the calendars (holiday, work, sport) you want to show up in DigiCal. The widgets will then show the events according to what you have selected.

Q: How can I change the notification ringtone?
- DigiCal doesn't have its own notification system, so it depends on your stock calendar for the notifications. You can change the notification ringtone in your stock calendar's settings.
Q: How to get a month view in the grid widget?
- Go to the "widget configuration window: and set the "row count" and "column count" at 6x6. You can try out different amount of rows and columns to see of what you like most.
Q: Why does DigiCal need this permission: DigiCal may allow the app to send messages that appear to come from calendar owners, or modify events without the owners' knowledge?
- DigiCal request WRITE_CALENDAR, which is a permission that includes sending emails to invite other people to your event. A calendar app cannot work without it, so this permission/warning will or should appear on every calendar app.
